Arriving in Rome

Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) Airport

  • Taxi: 50 € fixed fare to within the Aurelian Walls

  • Train: Leonardo Express Trains (LINK) - One way to Termini (main train and metro station) 14€​ or normal (slower) trains from 8 € to main train stations.

Ciampino Airport

  • Taxi: 30 € fixed fare to within the Aurelian Walls

  • Buses: 6 € to Stazione Termini

Getting Around

Metro​​​​

The metro is quicker than surface transport, but the network is limited. Two main lines serve the center, crossing at Termini Station.

  • Libe B (blue)

Taxis & Uber

Uber isn’t available in Rome, but you can still use the app—it will call a taxi for you instead!

​Foot

Walking is the best way of getting around the historic center - just wear confortable shoes!

Bus

Several bus lines connect all the city center, it is recommended to download the app "Moovit" for live time schedules.
